Caleb's born

My friends from nursing school, Yvonne and Chris, just had their baby yesterday. Their baby boy, Caleb Joshua Wong, was born on June 27th at 10:45 pm. He weighed 6 lbs 13 oz and was 18 inches long. Isn't he so cute!

Once upon a time, long, long ago.

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of Russell and I getting engaged. Can you believe it has been that long? Who would have thought that Russell and I would be married and expecting our first baby within a month. I guess we didn't waist any time, huh? It is great to think about these wonderful moments of our relationship.

Things I would like

Things I would like to do but can't:

1. have a clean house automatically (man I miss Lindsay)
2. stand at the beach with my feet in the water and the ocean breeze through my hair
3. not have to worry about being on my feet for too long, and when I am have have my feet not feel like sausages
4. just go walking, to just walk, just because I can't right now
5. no more heartburn, man, what I would do for no more heartburn

Okay I'm over complaining now and feeling sorry for myself. Sorry you guys had to hear that. But I love my baby and I wouldn't want anything else as long as in the end I have her and she is full term, healthy little girl.

I'm a smarty pants

I usually just do these things but I never think they are truthful so I don't put them up. But this one actually I think was pretty accurate. It explains why I am reading everything about the baby.

You are a Brainy Girl!

Whether you're an official student or a casual learner, you enjoy hitting the books.
You know a little bit about everything, and you're always dying to know more.
For a guy to win your heart, he's got to share some of your intellectual interests.
A awesome book collection of his own doesn't hurt either!

Baby's name

I thought I should post something about the little girl's name for people who don't know. Russell and I have decided to wait till we see her to make a final decision about her name; however, we have narrowed it down to two names.

Penelope Joy Stade or Kalisa Suzanne Stade. Penelope Joy means weaving joy. Her nickname would be Nelly or PJ when she is a little older. Kalisa means pure and consecrated to God. Suzanne means lily; we are naming her after my mom (her middle name). And for a nickname we would call her Kali. I think they are both so absolutely adorable. I go back and forth on which one I like more depending on my mood. Russell use to really like Penelope but now he really likes Kalisa. So basically he can't make up his mind either. So when we see her we have to make a decision with how she looks.

Which name do you think she looks like more?--You can reply with your opinion as long as you don't mind if I don't take it. :-)

My mini

Yay! I finally got my mini back! Which I've named "Mini Mouse" (Mickey mouse's girlfriend). My mini cooper has been in the shop since the middle of March and doubtfully it spent most of the time away from me on a waiting list just sitting there where I couldn't drive it. But at least it is back now.

The first thing I did when I got it back was put my babies car seat in it. And YES the car seat fits in the back. There is just limited room for someone in the front passangers seat, but I can sit there rather comfortably. It's my dream car with my little baby in it.

Time out

Well it's official I am going to be staying home until the baby comes. My doctor put me on bedrest today because of my body getting ready for labor too soon. Keep me in prayer and come and visit, my schedule is open.

My nitch

I'm trying to find my new nitch. When you go through any major life changes you end up evaluating who you are as a person. I'm pregnant and trying to figure out what does it mean to be me as a "mom". And how can I be that best mom I want to be for my little daughter. In additionally I might be taking the rest of the pregnancy off of work to make sure the baby will be okay. So for around 5 months I won't be working anymore. What does it look like to be a stay-at-home mom/ wife for almost half a year.

What I do has made me who I am. I show I care in what I choose to do for a living (by being a nurse). But when I stop and just not do anything. What does that make me?

daddy's little princess

Since I am going to be free for this week, I thought I would share some of the things of the baby. Plus I'm a new mom and I totally want to brag about how cute she is and all the cute things that go along with her. :-)

Here are some 3 D pics of her on March 23rd.

Her cute room! I so want to bring her home and have her tell me "thank you for doing so much for me mommy"
