Maybe no more days off for mommy...

I decided this morning that Nelly and I are going to take a day off. We just took it easy and relaxed today and got a whole lot of nothing done. Besides I had to cetch up on my bible study homework for tomorrow. And then I decided that now would be as good as ever to give Nelly some bangs. So I got a water spray bottle, comb and some scissors and cut her bangs at the place of her eye brows thinking they will be just right when the dry. Right?

Um....a little shorter.

Then I was cleaning stuff on my computer and deleted the actual recycle bin icon. Thank God I got that back. And it's a good thing hair grows and she's not old enough to know she has too short of bangs. Plus the short, blunt bangs are in, right?

I know a lot of posts for someone who isn't posting. I don't know if I'm going to keep it up.

now i really want to know if it's a boy or girl

We are not scheduled for the ultrasound till June 24th to find out what the sex is of the baby. For me up until now I've been fine waiting to know the sex of the baby. I don't have huge prejudices either way. If we have a girl it would be really easy because we already have a purple room and girls cloths and girl toys. It's just really easy that way. But it would be nice to have a boy. That way we have one of each. And anyone who has seen Russell around little boys knows Russell needs a boy eventually.

We have slowly gotten ready for the new baby, we have the twin bed frame sitting in Granna and Papa's garage. And I have been just browsing for a new bedding. On Sunday we were at Target and I saw the perfect bedding set. But they only had one in stock and it was a full size. So I found it online this morning. It took me a while to find and I almost lost my mind. It is perfect, just what I wanted, down to the thin quilt comforter! It's poka dots with purple and green, which are the colors of her room. And the comforter has little pom-poms on it. So adorable. Plus if its a boy it'll be easy to find poka dot bedding in boy colors to match. Maybe I'll have the room be purple, blue, and green. Wouldn't that be so cute! I'm really excited.

Now comes the waiting part. As soon as we find out the sex of the baby we are going to paint the room then set up the twin bed. Penelope still hasn't tried to climb out of her crib yet, so there hasn't been any rush. Plus I'm not looking forward to her having liberty of getting out of her crib when it is bedtime. But it's going to be sooo cute! I can't wait!

Here is a picture of the bedding. I can't find a picture of the bed frame online. My link doesn't work anymore. You'll have to wait until her room is all set up. :)

attempting to change background

Attempting is about as good as I'm getting so far. I'm trying to upload a new background on my blog. But I can't seem to get rid of the old layout. I know that it was a totally different way that I uploaded the last one then I did this one. Anyone have any suggestions for me to help my problem?

a little of everything

Okay so I've been a "bad blogger" and I haven't posted since Easter. *shock* Most of my down-time without the baby I've been spending taking naps, so my internet time has suffered a little.

I've feeling good with this pregnancy so far. I'm about 16 weeks. So I'm into the 2nd trimester. I felt very exhausted the 1st trimester, but other than that I don't have a whole lot of complaints. I was wanting a HUGE rush of energy for the 2nd trimester, and didn't get it. Oh well. I'm getting bigger everyday. And I'm already feeling every couple days a flutter from the baby. But it feels very low, like the baby might just flutter and wave "hi" some day. It's such a weird feeling. I've heard of women getting this feeling all through their pregnancy, but I hope as the baby growing, he/she grows more up my stomach. LOL

Penelope is growing bigger and bigger. She's 22 months now and she seems like she is learning something everyday. Right now we are trying to get her to say her numbers 1-10 and say "My name is Nelly". Penelope is too long for her to pronounce and she knows Nelly as her name too.

Russell is doing well. He is working hard to support this family, thats for sure. He went to work at 2 a.m. this morning to help out and got off around 11 and we have the whole weekend together. We have a couple of plans for this weekend, but nothing too serious so we hopefully have the perfect balance of excittment and rest and relaxation.

Other than that I've been up to the busy things I normally do...Here are some pictures of recent activities.
